Bioenergy Europe

Bioenergy Europe is committed in contributing to the EU energy transition and joined ENZA as it trusts that reaching climate-neutrality by 2050 requires an integrated energy system in all sectors. CEFS

European sugar makes a substantial contribution to EU food security. Could it also contribute to the EU’s energy security? We believe it can: by reducing fossil fuel consumption in the sugar factory via efficiency improvements and the energetic use of sugar beet residues generated on-site. Cerame-Unie

As reflected in the Ceramic Roadmap to 2050, “Continuing our path towards climate neutrality”, published in 2021, ceramics will contribute to the objectives of the European Green Deal through many strategic value chains. Our industry has mapped a plan to achieve climate neutrality in 2050. However, the success of this plan will depend on the availability of new technologies and alternative decarbonised energy sources. Initiatives promoting cooperation between different sectors and throughout the value chains such as ENZA are essential to jointly overcome the obstacles to this ambitious objective.

CEWEP

CEWEP (Confederation of European Waste-to-Energy Plants) is the umbrella association of the operators of Waste-to-Energy (WtE – waste incineration with energy recovery) plants across Europe. By thermally treating residual waste that cannot be reused or recycled, WtE plays an essential role in sustainable waste management and circular economy. WtE also brings many benefits to climate mitigation as detailed in the recent WtE Climate Roadmap. CEWEP aims to use this knowledge and expertise within ENZA contributing to work towards EU Net Zero.
